This is where it all began... during Carnevale in the 10th century in Palermo, Sicily, dough was wrapped around "canna" (Italian for river reeds and hence the name, 'cannoli') and deep-fried then stuffed with whipped, sweetened ricotta.  In honour of our ancestors and the tradition they began... Cannoli Crunch is proud to base all our Siciliani cannoli on the simple recipe.  Buon appetitto tutti!
